Jozani Forest

After a further 3 minute drive you arrive at Jozani National Park. A guided journey through the forest and you will quickly learn about its uniqueness and witness the different species of monkeys unique to Zanzibar (and yes, without a thumb). After your forest tour you and a short hop to the other side of the national park, there is an opportunity to uncover the magical world of the Zanzibari Mangroves. Prison Island Tour

Leaving from Stone town you are heading out on a 20 min boat trip in traditional wooden dhow to the island with 4 names: Changuu Island is the official name of the island. But as she was bought from the British First Minster in 1860s to build a prison for rebellious slave, she is better known as Prison Island. However she was never used as a prison, but as a quarantine station for yellow fever, there she got her name Quarantine Island. Nowadays is the island more famous for her sanctuary of the adorable colony of Aldabra Giant Tortoises and her name as Turtle Island.
